Sustainability....that’s what Manpower Inc. was going for when it began planning its new headquarters in Milwaukee.  The headquarters building is seeking Gold LEED® certification. Some of the sustainable design elements include: underfloor air distribution systems, 90% of spaces getting daylight, water use reduction, water efficient landscaping, maximizing construction material recycling, use of low-emitting materials and public transportation access.

Rowe Price has officially opened its second building at its Colorado Springs campus, doubling its capacity and positioning the firm to support anticipated growth needs.....An underfloor heating and cooling system allows employees in one area to adjust temperatures without freezing or frying workers across the room.
Bick Group Corporate Headquarters 80KB

LEED CERTIFIED - GOLD LEVEL  Bick Group, a design-build firm specializing in mission critical facilities and intelligent buildings recently converted a 49,000 sq ft former printing company building into its new headquarters. Bick Group, who acted as its own design-build contractor for the project, transformed what was part open-warehouse print shop, part office space into a into a state-of-the-art, showcase i-Building®. ...As a Tate Access Floors dealer, Bick Group understood that a key component in it's flexible modular infrastructure was a Tate access floor system with Tate's underfloor service distribution.

Pier 1 Imports 75KB

Tate Access Floors provided raised flooring to meet Pier 1's requirements for speed of change and flexibility. As changes occur in the workplace, electricity and technology outlets can be dropped beneath the floor panels for quick set-up and reconnection. A 7,000-sq.-ft. data room providing all computer technology infrastructure of Pier 1 stores worldwide is located on the eighth floor. With Tate's concrete-filled steel panels, moving in equipment weighing several thousand pounds was a fast and efficient operation.

Destined to become an enduring landmark of the City by the Bay, the Letterman Digital Arts Center, the new San Francisco home of Lucasfilm Ltd., is located in one of the most beautiful public spaces in the country: the Presidio of San Francisco. From the initial development of concept design and throughout the subsequent design phases, the vision for the Letterman Digital Arts Center has been guided by many green & sustainable goals, including an energy efficient underfloor service distribution system.
Miyamoto Dental Design Suite Inc. 60KB

Tate Access Floors’ Building Technology Platform provided a wire and cable underfloor service distribution for Miyamoto Dental Design Suite Inc. that allows the water and waste lines to run under the raised floor to new sinks and services to patient chairs without core drilling into the slab or disrupting other tenants in the building. The entire office is a Tate CC1000 floor panel, with a low finished floor height of 6”, utilizing Shaw carpet tile in the corridor and lobby, and Axcess wood grain tile finish in the exam rooms.

LEED CERTIFIED  The 300,000-square-foot North American Premier Automotive Group headquarters, which includes a product development wing and a conference center on the ground floor, is the first Ford building to secure LEED certification....Tate's involvement in this project enhanced the environmental goals of the Ford Motor Company, providing cost savings and energy efficiency, as well as providing a strong foundation for LEED certification.

LEED CERTIFIED - GOLD LEVEL  The RAND Corporation, one of the world's leading research institutions, has relocated 1,000 staff members to its new head-quarters building in Santa Monica, CA. Four principles guided the creation of the new headquarters: 1) stimulate and inspire creativity in research and education; 2) promote efficient interaction among the organization; 3) demonstrate corporate commitment to conservation; and 4) enable effective adaptation to change.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science: Space Odyssey Exhibit 80KB

Tate’s underfloor wiring and cabling solution was the key to creating a flexible environment for the Space Odyssey exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Utilizing this “plug & play” system enables the relocation of their exhibits with ease. The underfloor air system supplies air at floor level, thereby improving ventilation effectiveness and providing visitors with clean, fresh air.

LEED CERTIFIED  From the beginning, Visteon decided to use the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines for the develop-ment of Visteon Village, emphasizing high quality solutions for sustainable site development. With Tate's raised floor system of recycled content and low emitting materials, Visteon has an underfloor air distribution system that allows for individual user control of temperature and airflow rate throughout the office space.

GTE Federal Credit Union 100KB

In the most ambitious building project in the history of GTE Federal Credit Union, the new headquarters is a twelve and a half acre campus, designed to serve as a hub for the credit union's operations, in the revitalized Tampa Heights area at 711 East Henderson Road.

Big Rock Ranch Corporate Headquarters 25KB
LEED CERTIFIED  The project was developed in an environmentally and community sensitive manner. The buildings have been designed in a Frank Lloyd Wright architectural style and comply with Green Building standards. With a goal of cost savings and a healthier environment, Tate Access Floors, Inc. provided 122,000 square feet of access flooring for this LEED certified project.

EUA of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, has provided utility services to New England for over 30 years. When they were designing a space for their corporate head-quarters in 1987, they began exploring the options based on their needs. With a 20-25% churn rate for an average occupancy of 500, they realized the best solution was a Tate Access Floor system.

LEED CERTIFIED  Electronic Arts (EA) is the world’s leading independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software for advanced entertainment systems. All power/ data in the building is distributed beneath a raised floor, utilizing a modular “plug & play” system with floor mounted outlets for both systems. This allows space tobe reconfigured quickly and cost effectively.

Located in El Segundo, California, Info Services Corp. is a single-source provider of global communi-cations services. Their products and services enable multi-national corporations to communicate freely and easily with their clients, prospects, employees & business partners meaning massive communications requirements. With a portfolio that includes Managed Access, Intranet, Broadb and, Internet & Applications Services, Infonet had to think flexible when designing its headquarters building.

First Charter 400KB

This 270,000 SF technology center houses the main operational offices. The facility consists of structural steel with composite metal wall panels, recessed access floors and a partial redundant electrical and HVAC system for operation during emergency situations. The facility contains some 700 computer work stations.

SMUD 90KB

Designed to accommodate 550 company employees, conference facilities and an education center, the SMUD Customer Service Center (CSC) was intended as a showcase of low-energy design featuring an underfloor air distribution system, a high-efficiency central chiller plant with thermal energy (cold water) storage, and efficient electric lighting integrated within a sophisticated daylighting scheme.

TIAA-Cref Institute 110KB

The Center’s 562,000-sq-ft Building One complex opened in 2001 and the 367,000-sq-ft Building Two complex is scheduled for occupancy in 2003. In all, some 2,800 administrative, operations, and financial counseling professionals will work in the Service Center. Much of the space is open with demount-able partitions. Access to power and data/ communications is almost exclusively via raised floors.

This $260 million facility provides a consolidated workplace with a capacity for 4,100 employees from ten locations across Omaha, as well as customer-service and accounting employees relocating from St. Louis.

The Gap Corporate Headquarters 360KB

With underfloor service distribution, the Gap headquarters in San Francisco was able to “green” their building. Tate’s products contribute to LEED points in three of the five credit categories. Utilizing underfloor air distribution and modular wiring/cabling, the Gap will provide an energy-saving, comfort-controlled building for its employees.
